WATERLOO - Edward Dean "Big Ed" Tillman, 50, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 11, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of cancer.

He was born Nov. 5, 1959, in Waterloo, son of William Walter and Arlene Paul Cage. He married D'Arci Phillips in Waterloo.

Mr. Tillman was a supervisor at Tyson and also worked at TDS in Waverly.

Survived by: his wife; three daughters, Chimere, Meeiesha and Myiesha Tillman, all of Waterloo; a son, Darieo of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Rajayha and Damere Edward Tillman; five brothers, James (Doris) Tillman of Cleveland, Cecil, Larry (Julia) and Monroe (Carmen) Tillman, all of Waterloo, and Andre (Roselind) Scott of Des Moines; two half brothers, William and Bobby Cage, both of Waterloo; two sisters, Brenda (Tracy) Mills and Caroline (Eugene) Phillips, both of Waterloo; many nieces and nephews; a godson, Dana Scott Jr.; a goddaughter, DJa'nea Wilson; and special friends, Ron Howze and Larry Gaston.

Preceded in death by: his parents; his stepfather Jimmy Tillman; three brothers, Milton Hannah, Charles Tillman and Nashua Tillman; and a sister, Alice Scott.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Antioch Baptist Church, under the auspices of Gift of Life Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street.
