WATERLOO — Lois Marie Hansen, 85, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, April 21, at home.

She was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Waterloo, daughter of Dr. N.A. and Clare Hau Golinvaux. She married Robert C. Hansen at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Waterloo, on July 5, 1945.

Mrs. Hansen graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy and attended Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, for two years and Clarke College, Dubuque, for a year. She was a homemake for 65 years.

Survived by: her husband, Dr. Robert C. Hansen Sr.; four sons, Dr. Thomas (Mary) of Cedar Rapids, Dr. Robert Jr. (JoAnne) and Richard (Jean Wagner), both of Waterloo, and William (Janet) of Minneapolis; a daughter, Mary (Mike) Pedersen of Waterloo; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Dunn of Cedar Rapids and Mary Beth Koch of Waterloo; three brothers, Greg (Nancy) Golinvaux of Waterloo, Louis (Linda) Golinvaux of Minneapolis and Robert Lee (Janet) Golinvaux of Chicago; two sisters-in-law, Eunice Hansen of Waterloo and Doris Hansen of Sun City, Ariz.; and a brother-in-law, William (Rosemary) Hansen of Sun City.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a sister, Carol Jean Pint; a sister-in-law, Betty Simbric Hansen; and three brothers-in-law, Arthur V. Hansen, Herluf C. Hansen and Kenneth Koch.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
