WATERLOO — Lynn Aaron Marvin, 62, of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, April 22.

He was born May 6, 1947, in Storm Lake, son of Donald Kenneth and Gwyneth Berniece Baker Marvin. He married Linda Leininger on June 9, 1966.

Mr. Marvin graduated from Waterloo East High in 1966 and was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He then went to work as a machinist for Viking Pump Co., retiring in 1999, and was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Kenneth of Waterloo; a daughter, Teresa (Ron) Gilson of Waterloo; and three grandchildren, Brian Marvin, Justin O’Day and Kenneth Marvin.

Services: 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, preceded by an hour of visitation. Military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 of Waterloo and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Burial will be at a later date. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the church.

Lynn enjoyed Star Trek, off-road 4x4s, cars, motorcycles, boats, anything with a big motor and, most importantly, spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
