From the day she was married, Bonnie enjoyed practicing her faith at Sacred Heart. She loved growing beautiful roses and the world’s tallest tomato plants. She especially enjoyed fishing and spending weekends with her husband at their cabin in Clear Lake. In her later years, she enjoyed reading, watching TV, especially horse racing and world, national, and local news shows, and visiting sisters and friends. She made her home for the past two years at Friendship Village.

Throughout her life, Bonnie was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, aunt, great aunt, friend and neighbor. She is lovingly survived by her two sisters, Edna Oldridge of Jesup and Ardyce Miszner of La Porte City; her two special nieces, Katha Williams of Waterloo and Judy Hayes of Ankeny; also numerous caring nephews and nieces, Audrey Cook, Ramona Peterson, Geraldine Harris, Robert Franck, Zelda Andersen, Maynard Franck, Loretta Wright, Glen Franck, Dennis Franck, Lance Franck, Chesteen Oldridge, Rhonda Boisvert, Judd Decker, Robert Decker, Diane Schuler, Roger Decker, Kent Decker, Cheryl Decker, Brenda Beierschmitt, Dawn Decker, Craig Decker, Tom Franck, Jeff Miszner and Todd Miszner.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.

Memorials may be directed to Breast Cancer Awareness or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
