WATERLOO - Katie Mae Moten, 89, of Waterloo, died at her home Tuesday, April 6, of natural causes.

She was born June 28, 1920, in Durant, Miss., daughter of Walter Hurt and Annie Bailey. She married Willie Henry Moten in 1935 in Durant and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Moten was formerly employed in the housekeeping department at the Russell Lampson Hotel.

Survived by: two daughters, Elizabeth Murphy-Adams of Tacoma, Wash., and Frances Lacy of Waterloo; a son, James (Laura) of Waterloo; a goddaughter, Ester Jones of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Temple Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and for an hour before services Tuesday, all at the church. Sanders Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the family at 825 Oneida St., where they will receive friends.
