WATERLOO - Michael W. Eide, 41, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 6, at Covenant Medical Center of heart failure.

He was born June 10, 1968, in Waterloo, son of William C. and Sandra L. Peverill Eide.

Mr. Eide attended the University of Iowa two years before transferring to the University of Northern Iowa, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in history in 1991. He was employed by Staff Management in Cedar Falls until becoming disabled after a car accident in 1997.

Survived by: his father of Waterloo; two sisters, Kimberly Eide and Dawn Reeves, both of Waterloo; two nieces, Tessa Steimel and Marley Reeves, both of Waterloo; three great-nephews; and two great-nieces.

Preceded in death by: his mother; and paternal and maternal grandparents.

Church-directed memorial services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kimball United Methodist Church, with inurnment at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends at a luncheon immediately following the service. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball assisted the family.
