WATERLOO - James E. Campbell, 79, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 23, at ManorCare Health Services of natural causes.

He was born March 30, 1930, in Waterloo, son of Owen and Merle Henry Campbell. He married LaNell McDaniel, and they later divorced.

Mr. Campbell retired from Allen Hospital, working as a laundry manager for more than 30 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survived by: a son, Roger (Cynthia) of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by: a son, William E.

There will be no visitation or services. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball is in charge of arrangements.
