HEALD, DOOLITTLE, MILLS, BACHMANN, GOODENBOUR, SCHELL

CEDAR FALLS - Marilyn J. Heald, 84, of the Western Home Communities, died Thursday, March 25, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 26, 1925, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Leslie and Leona Doolittle Mills. She married Roger A. Heald on June 8, 1947, in Cedar Rapids. He died Sept. 11, 1991.

Mrs. Heald graduated from Franklin High School, and worked for a short time as a blue print clerk in a defense plant in Cedar Rapids, and later was employed with the University Children's Hospital Orthopedic Ward, Mapleton, before staying at home to raise her family.

Survived by: three daughters, Georgia (Brian Bachmann) Heald of Iowa City, Debbie (Bruce) Goodenbour, and Tammy (Mike) Schell of Cedar Falls; a son, James of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren, Brandy (Jim) Farrell, Miles Schell, Jeff Goodenbour and Doug (Briana) Goodenbour; and a great-grandchild, Donavon Farrell.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Richard Mills; and a son-in-law, Keith "Rick" Ludolph.

Services: 3 p.m. Saturday at the Western Home Communities Chapel, Cedar Falls, with inurnment later in Cedar Memorial Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, following her gift to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy deeded body program. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Richardson Funeral Home assisted the family.
