CEDAR FALLS -- Emma E. Denholm, 87, of the Lutheran Home, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at the home of natural causes.

She was born July 11, 1912, in Punta Arenas, Chile, daughter of Kund and Sofie Jensen Alfsen. She married James A. Denholm on June 12, 1932, in Punta Arenas. He died July 6, 1967.

Mrs. Denholm was receptionist and bookkeeper for 35 years for the Cedar Bulletin, retiring in 1982.

Survived by: a daughter, Sylvia Llewellyn of Cedar Falls; a son, Erico of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Laura MacRae of Los Angeles.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Elsie Handrup and Valberg Gallardo; three brothers, George, Hugo and Wilfred Alfsen; and a great-grandson.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call for 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home, with family present from 5 to 8 p.m., and with a 7:30 p.m. Happy Thought Rebekah Lodge memorial service.

Memorial fund: will be established.
