CEDAR FALLS -- Dr. Julia "Judy" Sparrow, 91, of Minneapolis, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at Mount Olivet Careview Home, Minneapolis, of natural causes.

She was born March 4, 1908, in Royalton, Minn., daughter of Thomas Henry and Ethelwyn Mae Carpenter Sparrow. She was professor emeritus of education at the University of Northern Iowa.
Survived by: a sister, Edna Olson.

Preceded in death by: five brothers, Robert, Clement, James, Hubert and Merle Sparrow.
Memorial services: 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Careview Home chapel, with private burial in Langola Township Cemetery, Rice, Minn. Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, Minneapolis, is in charge of arrangements.
