WATERLOO - Donald Grimm, 83, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 17, at St Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of a heart attack.

He was born Dec. 8, 1926, in Cresco, son of Arthur and Bertha Weber Grimm. He married Dorothy Schroeder on April 2, 1949, in Mason City.

Mr. Grimm worked at Oliver Manufacturing, Charles City, before moving to Waterloo in 1953 and working in the beef kill department at Rath Packing Co. for 31 years.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Gary (Patricia) of Harpers Ferry and Kevin of Waterloo; four daughters, Kathie (Larry) Aschbrenner of Delhi, Gail Grimm of Connecticut, Cherie Grimm of Denver, Colo., and Deb (Steve) Amo of Sumner; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six brothers, Raymond (Lanell) of Hudson, Fred of Rochester, Gene (Janet), Roy (Bonnie) and Ronnie (Nancy), all of Riceville, and Dennis (Becky) of Denver; and three sisters, Rosie Thompson and Babe (Don) Bottema, both of Waterloo, and Karen (Sheldon) Peik of Rochester.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Paul; and two sisters, Ade Ameling and Shirley Koontz.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church.
