CEDAR FALLS - Virginia L. Gibson, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, March 12, at Western Home Communities Martin Center.

She was born May 30, 1918, in Leon, daughter of James R. and Mary E. Lillie Bridges. She married Charles B. Gibson on Oct. 29, 1938, in Missouri Valley. He died Aug. 24, 1993.

She graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1936. She was an assistant receptionist for Dr. Robert Jongewaard from 1959-61 and a nurse's aide at Greene County Hospital from 1964-69.

Survived by: a son, Dan (Rosie) of Des Moines; two daughters, Marge Goodman of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Martha (Jerry) Shoff of Cedar Falls; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Mary Flakne.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Falls Church of Christ, with burial in Scranton Township Cemetery, Greene, at a later date.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or the Western Home Communities.
