CEDAR FALLS - Clifford Charles Dunnwald, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 7, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 5, 1923, in Waterloo, son of Lawrence and Susan Irene McGuire Dunnwald. He married Dorothy Jane Myers Feb. 12, 1945, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo.

He graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Mr. Dunnwald was employed with John Deere for 27 ½ years, retiring as a supervisor.

Survived by: his wife; four daughters, Linda (Art) Van Wey of Justin, Texas, JoAnn (Craig) Smith of Waverly, Beverly (Alan) Degenhardt of Waterloo and Margaret Johnson of Reinbeck; a son, David (Nancy) of Cedar Falls; 15 grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; 15 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pat Delagardelle of Waterloo, Jane (Don) Towe of Carrollton, Texas, and Sister Susan Dunnwald of Anamosa; and two brothers, Joe (Dorothy) and Jim (Marcie), both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a son, Daniel; a brother in infancy, Billy; and a sister, Maureen Haddeman.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service, and for an hour before services at the church Wednesday.

Memorials: may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
