WATERLOO — Carole J. Fox Kies, 74, of Janesville, Wis., formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, Feb. 25, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.

She was born in Waterloo on June 25, 1935, daughter of Harold and Helen Fox. She married Robert A. Kies in Waterloo on Sept. 11, 1954. He died Jan. 29, 2007.

Mrs. Kies was employed by Mercy Hospital in the maternity ward and also worked for Anderson Clothing Store.

Survived by: two sons, Robert Jr. (Sue) of Lewisville, Texas, and Steve of Madison, Wis.; three daughters, Dawn (Kevin) Murray of Janesville, Deanne (Tony) Johnson of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Denise (Gary) Smith of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie (Dean) Bradfield of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: a brother.

Services: were Feb. 28 at Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home, Janesville, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville, Wis.
