WATERLOO — Marjorie Penn, 89, of Waterloo, died Friday, Feb. 26, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born July 3, 1920, in Birmingham, Ala., daughter of Oscar and Christina Dates Crooks. She married Will H. Cunningham in Mississippi, and they later divorced. She then married George Penn in Preston, Minn., in 1950. He died Oct. 31, 1986.

Mrs. Penn worked at St. Francis Hospital in the housekeeping department.

Survived by: a daughter, Pearlie Mae Brown of Waterloo; a brother, Johnny Crooks of Fort Dodge; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Willie C. Cunningham; a daughter, Euncie Cunningham; a brother, Oscar Crooks; and three sisters, Addie Cherry, Caldonia Jones and Pearlie Mae Shields.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 9 a.m. until services Friday at the church. Garden View Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
