WATERLOO — John E. Hagen, 76, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Feb. 7, of natural causes.

He was born June 24, 1933, in Brownsville, son of John and Helen Knight Hagen. He married Kathryn L. Usher on July 3, 1958, in Charles City, and they later divorced.

Mr. Hagen was employed at John Deere for 30 years, retiring in 1989.

Survived by: two sons, Steven A. (Rosalee) of Jesup and Daniel J. (Terri) of Evansdale; three daughters, Lori A. (David) Warneka of Waterloo, Joylynn E. Hagen of Elk Run Heights and Korrie D. (Brian) Fisher of Dunkerton; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy (John) Pickar of Cresco.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Leroy Winterton.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Evansdale, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
