PHENNICIE, MUSSETT, ELKEMA

WATERLOO — William L. "Bill" Phennicie, 75, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Jan. 24, at Allen Hospital.

He was born July 20, 1934, in Waterloo, son of Joseph and Della Phennicie. He married Evelyn Mussett in 1953 in Waterloo and they later divorced. He married Marilyn Elkema on Feb. 17, 1973, in Waterloo.

Mr. Phennicie graduated from Waterloo East High School, and had worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing Co. and Construction Machinery. He also formerly owned and operated East Side Hardware with Wally Robinson.

Survived by: his wife; three daughters, Karen (Harry) of Gilbertville, Linda (Curt) of Waterloo and Lori (Terry) of Jesup; two sons, Zachery and Cody (Amanda), both of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Misty (Jeff), Paul III, and three others; and a great-grandson, Dakota.

Preceded in death by: his parents; and stepfather, Clarence Broessell.

Family-directed memorial services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Raymond United Methodist Church, Raymond, preceded by an hour of visitation. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel is assisting the family.

Memorials: may be directed to Raymond United Methodist Church, 6903 Lafayette Road, Raymond 50667.

Bill gave the gift of life by being an eye donor following his death.
