TERRY, LAGRANGE, WILSON, BUZZARD

WATERLOO - Agnes W. Terry, 100, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Jan. 23, at Lakeview Landing of natural causes.

She was born March 4, 1909, in Vinton, daughter of James and Theodora LaGrange Wilson. On Oct. 5, 1929, she married Meryl L. Terry in Winterset. He died May 8, 1989.

Mrs. Terry graduated from Vinton High School in 1926 and continued her education at Iowa State Teachers College (UNI), Cedar Falls. She taught in La Porte City for two years. She returned to UNI and graduated in 1966 with a degree in education. She taught special education at Grant Elementary School, and at Jewett Elementary School, Evansdale, for 25 years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survived by: a son, Jim (Janet) of Houston; a daughter, Patricia (Bob) Terry Buzzard of Salem, Ore.; six grandchildren, Tod Terry, Scott Terry, Cynthia Terry Knox, Craig (Kim) Terry, Scott (Kim) Buzzard and Terry (Ingrid) Buzzard; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beth Harrison of Marshalltown; two sisters-in-law, Marge Wilson of Vinton and Marie Wilson of Livermore; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, James and Robert Wilson.

Private memorial Services: will be held at a later date, with inurnment in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to Westminster Presbyterian Church,1301 Kimball Ave., Waterloo.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Friendship Village who provided loving care to Agnes.
