Mrs. Susan Quinn, 75, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Mabb, 624 Fourth street east, of a complication of diseases incident to advanced age.

Susan Lynch, daughter of William and Mary Lynch, was born Sept. 8, 1858, at Quebec, Can. On Oct. 10, 1884, she was married to James Quinn at Tyndall, S.D.

Mrs. Quinn came to Iowa with her parents when she was 9 years old, the family making the journey from Canada by covered wagon. They settled on a farm near Ackley. Mrs. Quinn and her husband lived on a farm in that community until Mr. Quinn's death 30 years ago. Twenty-five years ago Mrs. Quinn came to Waterloo.

She was a lifelong and active church worker. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic parish here, and a member of the Rosary society.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. E.G. Diamond, Waterloo; Mrs. Paul Kline, 76 Mulberry street, and Mrs. Mabb; three sons, Edward J. Quinn and Leonard Quinn, 315 Thompson avenue, and Joseph Quinn, Post Falls, Ida.; also five brothers, Joseph Lynch, Mason City, Ia.; William Lynch, Mallard, Ia.; Arthur Lynch, Tracy, Minn.; Edward Lynch, Milbank, S.D.; and Dan Lynch, Ackley; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Meegan, Eldora, Ia., and Mrs. Elizabeth O'Hearn, Des Moines, Ia.

The body was taken to the Kearns funeral home.

The Rosary society of St. Joseph's parish will meet at 8 p.m. Thurdsay at the residence, 624 Fourth street east.
