Richard Fay Dies From Old Age

Richard Fay, aged 72 years, died at his home, 1223 Bertch avenue, yesterday from complication due to old age. The deceased was born in County Galway, Ireland, in 1840, but came to the United States at the age of 3. He lived in Illinois until thirty years ago, when he moved to Iowa, residing upon a farm for some time, when he moved to Waterloo a few years ago.

Mr. Fay married Bridget Crowl on Jan. 3, 1872, who survives him, with eight children, Catherine, Leo, Winnifred, Jay, all of Waterloo; Martin of Denver, Colo.; Al, Great Falls, Mont.; Jane and Harvey of Jesup. His brother, Al, resides in Freeport, Ill., as does a sister, Mrs. J. Sweeney, while another sister, Mrs. John Goodfellow, lives at La Porte City.

The funeral will be at 9 o'clock Monday from Sacred Heart church, with Father Lenihan officiating, and burial will be in Calvary.
