WATERLOO - Clarence Walker Sr., 82, of 320 Douglas St., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 20, 1927, in Memphis, Tenn., son of Tommy and Pearl Walker. He married Katherine Burnside on Dec. 11, 1955, in Hernando, Miss. They were later divorced. He then married Rose Moreland on Oct. 27, 1995, in Waterloo.

Mr. Walker was a U.S. Army veteran and was formerly employed at John Deere Tractor Works.

Survived by: his wife; three daughters, Shirley Walker and Chelea Walker, both of Waterloo, and Tamara Robinson of Atlanta; a stepdaughter, Sharra Taylor of Waterloo; three sons, Donell of St. Paul, Minn., Clarence E. Jr. of Minneapolis and Sylvester of Waterloo; four stepsons, Anthony (Shannon) Taylor, Deangelo Taylor and Louis Taylor, all of Waterloo, and Archie (Kizzy) Taylor of Atlanta; 30 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a daughter; two brothers, O.T. and Julius; and a sister, Annie Mae Weekley.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union Baptist Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the church by American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Sanders Funeral Service, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family at 320 Douglas St., where they will receive friends.
