WATERLOO - Louise Vennie Walker, 95, of 250 Sherman Ave., died Friday, Jan. 8, at Allen Hospital of natural causes

She was born in 1914 in Water Valley, Miss., daughter of John Wesley Childers and Dora Cooper. She married Reuben Walker in Preston, Minn., and he preceded her in death in 1976.

Mrs. Walker was a 1933 graduate of Waterloo East High School, then graduated from Crescent Beauty School, Des Moines, where she received her beautician license.

Survived by: a son, Clifford (Betty) Phillips of Los Angeles; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Antioch Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 9 a.m. until services Thursday at the church. Sanders Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the family at 250 Sherman Ave., where they will receive friends.
