WATERLOO — Rodney Dwight Weatherman, 79, of Temple Terrace, Fla., formerly of Waterloo, died at home Dec. 8 of natural causes.

He was born March 14, 1930, in Chicago, son of Dwight and Helen Pekarek Weatherman. He married Lydia Wagner on May 2, 1953, and they divorced in 1973.

Mr. Weatherman worked at Rath Packing Co. and other meat packing companies in several states, before retiring to Florida. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survived by: two daughters, Renee (Mark) Clark of Lincoln City, Ore., and Rhonda Ochoa of Springfield, Ore.; two sons, Ross of Waterloo and Ryan of Dallas; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlys (Harold) Shelton and Audrey (Bob) Irvin, both of Springfield, Mo.; and a brother, Neal of Mount Vernon, Mo.

Preceded in death by: an infant son; and two grandchildren.

No services are being planned. Florida Direct Crematory Services, St. Petersburg, Fla., assisted with arrangements.
