WATERLOO - Monita Elizabeth Renner, 92, of Waterloo, died Monday, Dec. 21, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Aug. 24, 1917, in Eagle Center, daughter of George and Elizabeth Cavanaugh Heinz. She married Martin Renner on Nov. 22, 1937, in La Porte City. He died Sept. 13, 1998.

Mrs. Renner was a cook at the American Legion Club, then was a waitress at the Waterloo Elks Club, retiring in 1981.

Survived by: two daughters, Judy (Ric) Schoot of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Jane (Ray) Smith of Waterloo; five grandchildren, John (Jennifer) Schoot, Michael Schoot, Kristen Schoot, Steven (Renae) Smith and Kevin Smith; and four great-grandchildren, Chandler and Trevor Smith, and Hannah and Morgan Smith.

Preceded in death by: an infant daughter, Karen Ann.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Eagle Center. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. Legion of Mary rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also an hour before services Monday at the church.
