WATERLOO - Dorothy Virginia Reichert Johnson, 91, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, Dec. 20, at Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

She was born May 27, 1918, in Waterloo, daughter of Frank W. and Elizabeth Geier Reichert. She married Ted Johnson on July 21, 1940. He died Sept. 20, 2009.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1939 and was a member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church.

Survived by: two daughters, Joyce Johnson Sturgill and Barbara (Rick) Kirby, both of Waterloo; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Jean Reichert of Houston and Beverly Baish and Evelyn (Percy) Poulin, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Marshall Reichert; and a sister, Marcella Lynn.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Public visitation for an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.
