CEDAR FALLS - Barbara E. Wright, 89, of Cedar Falls, formerly of California, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

She was born April 8, 1920, in Berkeley, Calif., daughter of Arthur Lorn and Evelyn Cost Nichols. She married William A. Wright on Dec. 7, 1941.

Mrs. Wright graduated from the University of California at Berkley. In addition to being a homemaker, she authored a children's book and a book of religious poetry.

Survived by: three sons, William N. (Krissy) of Cedar Falls, Raymond Edward of Grass Valley, Calif., and Philip F. (Sara) of Sacramento, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services: are being planned later in California. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was dearly loved by the staff and residents of the care center and all those who knew her.
