EVANSDALE — Philip L. Bork, 68, of Evansdale, died at home Monday, Dec. 7, from complications of Parkinson’s disease.

He was born Aug. 2, 1941, in Charles City, son of Alfred and Ruth Volbrecht Bork. He married Marilyn Bentley on March 14, 1962, in Preston, Minn.

Mr. Bork was employed as a mold and pattern maker at Viking Pump Co., Cedar Falls, for 36 years, retiring in 2003.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Brad L. (Christine) of Longview, Wash.; a daughter, Corinne K. Heath of Waterloo; his mother of Charles City; two brothers, Keith (Betty) Ferch of Charles City and Randy Ferch of Paducah, Ky.; a sister, Phyllis Gifford of Charles City; five grandchildren, Heather (Steve) Miller, Sean Bork, Mandy Heath, Jon Bork and Jessica Bork; and a great-grandson, Alex Miller.

Preceded in death by: his father; and a sister, Janice Bork.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
