FAIRBANK - Ronald William Klein, 68, of Fairbank, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn., after a lengthy illness.

He was born April 12, 1941, in Lake City, Minn., son of Ernest Louis Klein and Caroline Edith Anderson. He married Margaret Trusty on July 15, 1982, in Lebanon, Tenn.

Mr. Klein was part owner of American Pattern in Waterloo until retiring in 2001.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Scott Shaw of Denver, Colo., Paul (Anna) Shaw of Bartelsville, Okla., and Mike (Tami) Shaw of Iowa City; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Murphy of Minnesota.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Oelwein, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitaton from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
