CEDAR FALLS — Geraldine L. Kleinhans, 100, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital, Grundy Center.

She was born June 21, 1909, in Topeka, Kan., daughter of John C. and Anna E. Blaser Lechner. She married John L. “Ed” Kleinhans on Oct. 20, 1934, in Cedar Falls. He died June 3, 1998.

Mrs. Kleinhans was employed in Food Service at the University of Northern Iowa as a head cook.

Survived by: a son, James of Marshalltown; daughter, Betty (Neil) Handberg of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bob (Lily) Lechner of Canada.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Wilner, Johnny and Dub Lechner.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
