CEDAR FALLS - James A. Witcher Sr., 66, of Cedar Falls, died at his home Wednesday, Nov. 18.

He was born Oct. 28, 1943, in Waterloo, son of James William and Velma Elaine Ray Witcher. He married Maria Elainia Lentz in November 1966, in Waterloo. She preceded him in death Dec. 8, 1978.

Mr. Witcher was a machinist at Chamberlain Manufacturing and at Bloom Manufacturing.

Survived by: a son, James Jr. (Laurie) of Waterloo; two daughters, Sheryl (Dan) Gibbs of Waterloo and Susan (Robert Jr.) Howe of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Maurice of Waterloo; a sister, Sally (David) Adams of Waterloo; and seven grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Maurine Cook; a son, Shawn; and a great-grandson, Azrael Johnson.

Services: There will be no services. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at 4711 Millerdale Court, Waterloo. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball is in charge of arrangements.
