WATERLOO - Mildred Louise Ide, 92, of Waterloo, died Friday, Nov. 6, at Allen Hospital.

She was born May 28, 1917, in Sumner, daughter of Erwin and Mathilda Stahlhut Sell. She married Edward McCue in 1952. He died in 1958. She later married Herbert Ide on May 6, 1967. He died April 19, 2004.

Mrs. Ide graduated from Sumner High School in 1933. She worked in the purchasing department at John Deere from 1943 to 1981, when she retired. She had worked at several restaurants as a waitress and cashier prior to beginning work at John Deere. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years before becoming a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She helped in recording church offering and also served on the Stewardship Committee for four years at Ascension.

Survived by: two sons, Richard (Taeko) Ide of Sapporo, Japan, and Arthur Ide of Lima, Peru; a daughter, Mary (Ron) Potter of Waterloo; and two grandchildren, Kensho and Maria Ide of Sapporo.

Preceded in death by: her parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ascension Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to Christian Crusaders or American Heart Association in lieu of flowers
