WATERLOO - Thelma R. Westcott, 91, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Bickford Cottage, Cedar Falls.

She was born March 14, 1918, in Boone, daughter of Joseph E. and Edna B. Rader Staley. She married Mark W. Westcott on July 29, 1935, in Des Moines. He died July 21, 2001.

Survived by: three sons, Wayne (Joan) of Harrisburg, Mo., Jerry (Darlene) of Cresco and Gary (Norma) of Evansdale; four daughters, Virginia (Arne) Hedenstrom of Warner Robins, Ga., Nancy (Don) Schneider of Winona, Minn., JoAnn (Kenny) Lichty of Waterloo and Linda Mooers of Mesa, Ariz.; 26 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Maxine) Staley of Waterloo; and two sisters, Jean Lewis of Lazer, Colo., and Lucyle Hilton of Dallas.

Preceded in death by: a granddaughter; four brothers, Mavin, in infancy, and Walt, LaVerne and Joe Staley; and two sisters, Dorothy Bartush and Hazel Erickson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
