WATERLOO - Richard E. Gleason, 63, of Waterloo, died Monday, Nov. 2, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born July 29, 1946, in Fort Dodge, son of Eddie and Irene Behnkendorf Gleason. He married Patricia Florea on Feb. 18, 1958, in Cedar Falls. They later divorced. He then married Toni Davis in September 1989. They later divorced.

He served in the U.S. Marines Corps and was employed in the research and development division of Chamberlain Manufacturing.

Survived by: his mother of Waterloo; a son, Rick (Rachael) of La Porte City; two daughters, Capri (Jon) Rieman of Garner and Danielle (Tim) Putman of Waterloo; three brothers, James (Julie) and Joe, both of Waterloo, and David (Mary) of Waverly; and 11 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: his father; and an infant brother, Fred.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with burial to follow. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
