LA PORTE CITY - Agnes Anderson, 95, of La Porte City, died Monday, Oct. 26, at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 28, 1914, in Eagle Center, daughter of James and Anna Stacia Flaherty Marshall. She married Estle Dorsey Anderson on Jan. 27, 1937, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Porte City.

Survived by: a son, Ron (Clare) of Hudson; three daughters, Evelyn (John) Wright of Waukee, Carolyn Hackett of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cathey (Jack) Petersen of Pleasant Hill; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mary Anderson of Gainesville, Fla.; a brother, Edward (Bert) Marshall of La Porte City; a sister, Betty Kelvig of Waterloo; a sister-in-law, Wilma Marshall of La Porte City; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: her husband of 48 years, Estle; a son, Richard; a granddaughter, Jennifer Anderson; two great-granddaughters, Madison Shepherd and Isabella Pompeu; two brothers, James and George Marshall; and six sisters, Peg Reardon, Delores Conlon, Frances Walters, Marie Marshall, Gertrude McCombs and Pearl Jungling.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Porte City, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church, with a 5 p.m. rosary service, and also for an hour before the services Saturday. La Porte City Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
