WATERLOO - Stanley I. Stout, 76, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, October 13, at Allen Hospital.

He was born May 30, 1933, in Oelwein, son of John H. and Della Whitesell Stout. He married Loyce Lehmkuhl on May 24, 1958, at First United Methodist Church, Waterloo.

Mr. Stout was employed with Superior Welding Supply for more than 40 years and eventually became part owner. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Masons, Coin Lodge No. 394.

Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Amy (Joey) Samuelson of Essex and Sarah (Matt) Clements of Clarksville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Katy (Kevin) King of Essex and Jessica Schneck of Norfolk, Va.; two grandsons, Jack and Sam Clements; two great-granddaughters, Alexandria and Riley King; two great-grandchildren on the way; two sisters, Ruth Shriver of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Rosemary (Bill) Hansen of Sun City, Ariz.; two brothers, John (Ruth) and Jim (Sally) of Albuquerque, N.M.; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: his parents; and a sister, Roberta "Bonnie" Stevenson.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with inurnment in Memorial Park Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and Evansdale Amvets Post 31. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or Allen Home Health Services.

Stanley's greatest love was his family and many friends. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid gardener.
