WATERLOO - Robert B. "Amos" Knapp, 83, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, Oct. 11, (2009) at Cedar Falls Health Care Center, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

He was born July 15, 1926, in Waterloo, son of Carl K. and Kathryn Bueter Knapp. He married Dona L. Childs on March 8, 1952, in Nashua. She died April 5, 1996.

Mr. Knapp was employed at Waterloo Industries for 45 years.

Survived by: a son, Don (Brenda) of Evansdale; a daughter, Karen (Jim) Carroll of Elk Run Heights; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Paul (Grace) of Shell Rock.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Forrest.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
