CEDAR FALLS - Joel G. Green, 53, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Oct. 9, at home.

He was born Feb. 8, 1956, in Waterloo, son of Glenn Olen and Carol Johnson Green.

Mr. Green was a Volkswagen mechanic in California until 2000, then was employed with Iowa Hoist and Crane, Cedar Falls. He was currently employed with Unverferth Manufacturing, rural Shell Rock.

Survived by: his special friend, Connie Johnson of Cedar Falls; his mother of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Dan and Barry (Sharon), both of Cedar Falls; and two sisters, Betsy Green of Waterloo and Sandra (Don) Briggs of Framingham, Mass.

Preceded in death by: his father; and a brother, David.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
