Services for Steve are Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery chapel. Steven was born in Waterloo on May 12, 1955, to Ronald and Marjorie Penne. He graduated from Central High School in 1973 and joined the U.S. Army soon after. He spent three years in Germany and earned his stripes as supply sergeant in the 104th infantry. Steve had a total of 20 years in the military, active and reserve. He then worked for Rath Packing Co. until they closed, then as a grounds keeper at a Cedar Falls cemetery. Steve moved to Moore, Okla., in 2001 and started working for ARS as a warehouse supervisor, and was there until his death Oct .4, 2009.

Steve is survived by his mother; brother, Scott (Linda); sister, Kathy (Mike) Costello; nephews, Ryan (Kati) and Ash; stepnephew, Randy Hess; and nieces, Courtney, Amanda and Belinda Penne. Preceded in death his father, and brother, Harry.
