CEDAR FALLS - Dana DelRai Sutherland, 55, of Seagoville, Texas, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Sept. 22, at Dallas Regional Medical Center of liver failure and complications.

He was born Aug. 10, 1954, in Waterloo, son of David and Janice Rice Sutherland. He married Marsha Lally in Dallas.

He was a 1973 graduate of Cedar Falls High School, where he was awarded most valuable athlete of the year. He also graduated from the University of Northern Iowa.

Mr. Sutherland was active with Boy Scouts and coached little league baseball for them.

Survived by: his wife; his parents of Cedar Falls; a son, Taylor Dane of Seagoville; two stepdaughters, Monica Lally and Dawn Lally, both of Seagoville; two brothers, David (Valerie) of Port Orange, Fla., and Tyrone (Laura) of Waterloo; and two sisters, Taryn (Bruce) Lynn of Greenville, Texas, and Romy (Steven) Schmitz of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: an infant brother, Dell DeLon.

Services: were Sept. 26 at Roselawn Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville.
