WATERLOO - Ramona Dawson, 102, of Lakeview Landing, died there Friday, Oct. 2.

She was born Feb. 9, 1907, in Winthrop, daughter of J.H.W. and Stella B. Trott Smith. She married Donal S. Dawson Oct. 14, 1933, in Traer. He died Sept. 7, 1999.

Mrs. Dawson was a graduate of Gates Business College and worked as a stenographer for Dawson & Cortright from 1925 until 1940. She retired after working in other Waterloo law firms.

Survived by: a niece, Betty Clark of Noblesville, Ind.

Preceded in death by: her husband; two sisters, Bonnie Haurum and Frances Smith; and a brother, Flavel Smith

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
