FULLER, MESSERER, HIDLEBAUGH, DAUBENBERGER, MUSSO, BENTALL, BORDENARO, BUTORAC

WATERLOO - Michael Dean Fuller, 58, of Waterloo, formerly of Des Moines, died Friday, Sept. 25, at Covenant Medical Center following a short illness.

He was born Nov. 30, 1950, in Waterloo, son of D. Dean and Joan Messerer Fuller.

Mr. Fuller graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1969 and from Drake University in 1985 with a degree in business and accounting. He retired from Kum & Go on May 31 as a sales manager.

Survived by: his wife; three daughters, Sarah Fuller of Des Moines, Melissa Fuller of Hartford and Laura (James) Hidlebaugh of Waterloo; three aunts, Norma Daubenberger of Winthrop, Sue Fuller of Cedar Rapids and Pat Fuller of Russellville, Ark.; three grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Musso, both of Hartford, and Geneva Hidlebaugh of Waterloo; two sisters-in-law, Teresa Bentall and Jane (Joseph) Bordenaro, both of Des Moines; and a brother-in-law, Fred (Ellen) Butorac of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at at 675 Jalea St., Hartford. His body has been cremated. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to St. Francis Catholic Worker of Waterloo.

Michael enjoyed Scrabble, chess, the Iowa Hawkeyes and small-town Iowa high school sports. He had spent the last nine years as part of the Catholic Worker community in both Waterloo and Des Moines, doing hospitality and serving meals to the poor.
