CEDAR FALLS - Lilyan P. Craver, 97, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Sept. 26, at Western Home Communities Martin Center.

She was born Oct. 26, 1911, in Waterloo, daughter of Charles J. and Frieda A. Otte Poduska. She married Edwin C. "Ted" Craver on June 10, 1933, in Cedar Falls. He died Dec. 3, 1976.

Mrs. Craver graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1930 and was employed as a secretary with Viking Pump Co. She was a secretary for the federal government in Washington, D.C., from 1935 to 1940. After moving back to Cedar Falls, she was employed as a secretary with Woolverton Printing Co., retiring in 1970. After retirement, she was the activities director at several RV parks in southern Texas until 1990.

Survived by: a son, Gary (Barbara) of Rock Island, Ill.; a daughter, Rita (Richard) Congdon of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (T.F.) Poduska of Littleton, Colo.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Edward and Charles Poduska; and two sisters, Alma Hansen and Hilda Jackson.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Western Home Communities Chapel, with inurnment later following cremation rites, in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Friday at the chapel.

Memorials: may be directed to Black Hawk County Chapter of American Cancer Society, Western Home Foundation or Christian Crusaders Radio Ministry.
