CEDAR FALLS - Richard E. "Red" Hundley, 67, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Sept. 24, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

He was born Dec. 9, 1941, in Iowa City, son of Delwin and Ruth Marie Avery Hundley. He married Billie Joyce Smith on March 25, 1961, in Finchford.

Mr. Hundley graduated from Finchford High School in 1959 and began his employment with Coca Cola Bottling, Waterloo. In 1970 he went to work for Venda-Food, later named American Black Hawk Food Service, until their closing in 1989. He then was self employed in automotive repair until 1995, and then was employed with Aramark out of Cedar Rapids, until his retirement.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Matthew (Robin) of Albert Lea, Minn., and Jason (Teresa) of Cedar Falls; and six grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Shirley Loomis.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Finchford Community Bible Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Public visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorial fund: has been established with designation at a later date.
