WATERLOO - Kenneth L. Huffman, 88, of Lakeview Landing, died there Sunday, Sept. 20.

He was born Sept. 10, 1921, in Eldora, son of Otto and Hulda Thorne Huffman. He married Dorothy Draper on March 16, 1943, in Waterloo.

Mr. Huffman was employed with Rath Packing Co. during the 1940s and later was a window clerk with the Waterloo Post Office for 35 years, retiring in 1980. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Bob (Linda) of Phoenix and Ron (Peggy) of Marshalltown; a daughter, Nancy Huffman of Waterloo; a granddaughter, Amanda Huffman; a brother, Wayne (Beverly) of Centennial, Colo.; and a granddog, Billy.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Eunice Folkerts.

Services: 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 138 and Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 1623. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services at the church.
