WATERLOO - Dorothy Marie Butcher, 91, of Waterloo, died Monday, Sept. 21, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born March 30, 1918, in Montana, daughter of Archie and Myrtle Waggett Nichols. She married Kenneth Butcher on Jan. 7, 1947, in Chicago.

Mrs. Butcher worked as a nurse's aide at Schoitz Memorial Hospital for five years, then at Allen Hospital for 30 years.

Survived by: her husband; three daughters, Patricia Ann Dufel of Mission, Texas, Sandra Lee (Richard) Weber of Reinbeck and Nora Jane (Harry) Eggers of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arnetta Pastore of Banning, Calif.

Preceded in death by: a grandson; and two brothers, Floyd and LaVerne Nichols.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, preceded by an hour of visitation. Burial will be at a later date. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.
