Mrs. Peter Schmidt.

Mrs. Peter Schmidt died yesterday at 6:40 p.m. at Jesup after an illness of eight months, having undergone an operation for gallstones in March at St. Francis hospital.

She was born Oct 25, 1855, at Troy Grove, La Salle county, Ill. Surviving Mrs. Schmidt are her husband and these nine children: Herbert, Adam, Mrs. John Phillips and Mrs. Phil Melach, Jesup; Phillip, William and Theodore, Morgan, Minn.; Mrs. William Burger, Washburn and Mrs. William Wagner, Gilbertville. A brother, William Amfahr, Jesup, a sister, Mrs. Ellen Schaffer, Eagle Center, 40 grandchildren and one great grandchild of Mrs. Schmidt also are living.

Funeral services will be at St. Athanasius church, Jesup, and burial at Eagle Center.
