BERTHEL JENSEN

Funeral services for Berthel Jensen, 79, of 443 Center St., are tentatively scheduled for 1:30 p. m. Saturday at St. Ansgar's Lutheran church in Waterloo, Iowa.

Mr. Jensen died at 8 a. m. Thursday at his home, of complications of a heart ailment and advanced age. He had been ill for three months.

Mr. Jensen was born November 4, 1881, at Veggerslev, Denmark, the son of Anders and Feverine Jensen.

He married Jensine Petersen in Thorso, Denmark, in 1914, and the couple came to the United States the same year.

Mr. Jensen farmed near St. Ansgar, Iowa, for some time and came to Waterloo in 1925. He was a member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife and one sister, Mrs. Sine Christiansen of Denmark. Mr. Jensen was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

The Parrott & Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
