Bonnie Jane Wormuth (1931-2009)

Elk Run Heights, Iowa -- Bonnie Jane Wormuth, 78, of Elk Run Heights, died Monday, Dec. 14, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born April 7, 1931, in Ellendale, North Dakota, daughter of Harold and Florence Buchanan Payton. She married William B. "Barney" Wormuth on April 23, 1954, in Kirksville, Mo. He died October 14, 2004.

Bonnie is survived by two sons, Larry and Mitchell, both of Elk Run Heights; two daughters, Linda (David) Alcott of Evansdale and Jolynn (Jack) Klein of Waterloo; seven grandchildren: Dustin Klein, Tori Klein, Justin Klein, Heather (Ryan) Sallis, Holly Alcott, Heidi Alcott and Shannon (Ryan) Rottinghaus; three great-grandchildren, Eli and Kyler Sallis and Hailey Klein; and two brothers, her twin, Bill Payton of Waterloo, and James Payton of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Harold and Frank Payton.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
