Rites Saturday For Mrs. Knudsen Of Hudson

HUDSON-Mrs. Arthur Knudsen, 59, of Hudson, died at 6:56 a.m. Thursday of a stroke at Schoitz Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born Marion Lucile Peterson Dec. 25, 1901, here, a daughter of Carl L. and Nellie Chapman Peterson, and was married at Hudson Jan. 10, 1925, to Arthur Knudsen. A deputy county auditor many years, Mr. Knudsen died last May.

Mrs. Knudsen lived all her married life at Hudson, being a member of the Community Church and Rebecca Lodge there.

Surviving are two sons, Richard L., of Des Moines, and John, of Hudson, a daughter, Mrs. James Salsbury, Patterson, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Lechner, Cedar Falls, her father, Carl L. Peterson, of Hudson, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and mother.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Parrott and Wood Funeral Home, Waterloo. The Rev. A. Edward Strang, pastor of Hudson Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call any time after noon Friday at the funeral home.
