Mrs. Charles G. Sweitzer, 84, died Thursday at about 9 p. m. in the Ackley Presbyterian home. Death was caused by a heart condition. Mrs. Sweitzer formerly lived at 320 Bertch Ave.

She was born Louise Bradley, daughter of Smith Bradley and Josephine Bowen Brodley, in Iowa City, Oct 19, 1878. She came with her family to Waterloo as a child, and lived here until 1961. She was married to Charles Sweitzer July 10, 1906, in Waterloo. She was a charter member of the Westminster Presbyterian church.

Survivors include a son, Perston, Of Indianola; a sister, Mrs. Vera Rodman, of Kimball, Neb.; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband and a brother and sister preceded her in death. Her husband was a former district court bailiff here.

Services will be at 1:30 p. m. Saturday at the Westminster Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Warren Martin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at the Parrott and Wood funeral home from 6 p. m. Friday to noon Saturday. -- “Mrs. Charles Sweitzer,” Waterloo Daily Courier, Waterloo, Iowa (3 May 1963).
